Over the weekend, as part of the joint special operation "West 2023," border guards of the Chop detachment caught seven Ukrainian citizens who were trying to enter Slovakia illegally.

On the outskirts of the village of Onokivtsi, Uzhhorod district, a border patrol, together with cadets from the Ministry of Internal Affairs universities who had arrived to reinforce them, and using a UAV, detected three Donetsk residents moving toward Slovakia.

Another "tourist" was stopped by a border guard sniffer dog near the village of Novoselytsia. Law enforcement cadets also took part in the detention.

In addition, two Ukrainians tried to leave through the Uzhhorod border crossing point using forged documents. Border guards also detained a 50-year-old resident of Kharkiv region at this border crossing point, in the part that is currently undergoing reconstruction.

All offenders were taken to border guard units. After clarifying the circumstances, they will be brought to administrative responsibility for attempting to cross the border illegally.
