Measures were taken at the Boryspil border crossing point to forcibly expel an Indian citizen who was detained at the same BCP in November 2019 for attempting to cross the state border illegally. The foreigner used a passport that did not belong to him.

After identifying the person at the Indian Embassy in Ukraine, the offender received a return certificate, but this was only the first step on his way home. The detainee said that he flatly refused to return home, citing his desire to stay in Ukraine.

The decision of the Boryspil City District Court on the forced expulsion of an Indian citizen was made on November 28, 2019. For almost 18 months, a persistent Indian tried to appeal the court's decision staying at the Aliens Temporary Detention Center (ATDC), however, this attempt was in vain. The reason for this was the events of 2017, when border guards of the Lviv border guard detachment first detained a “traveler” while illegally crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border. Then, in order to avoid deportation from Ukraine, he applied for refugee status and was released from the ATDC and lived in our country for two years. Finally, accompanied by border guards who have the appropriate certificates to accompany foreigners to their countries of origin, the Indian citizen was deported from Ukraine on a flight “Kyiv – Delhi”.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the current year, more than 10 deportations of foreign offenders accompanied by servicemen who have the relevant certificates have already been carried out at the airport border crossing points of the Separate  Checkpoint “Kyiv”. Among the violators are those who tried to illegally cross the western border of Ukraine, bypassing BCPs to EU countries and those who were found while trying to enter Ukraine illegally through airport BCPs.
