On May 20, a man trying to enter Ukraine illegally was detained with shots by border guards from Luzhanka Division of Mukachevo Detachment.

A 40-year-old citizen of Ukraine, a resident of the village of Mochola, Berehiv district, was detained. The Ukrainian had been in Hungary for some time and intended to return home, although he did not want to use the existing border crossing points. In addition, it turned out that challenging the vigilance of border guards was a long-nurtured dream of Ukrainians. Our compatriot told about it to border guards during drawing up the reports on the committed offenses provided by Art. for Part 1 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and Article 185-10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

During detention, ignoring legal requirements of the border guard detail, the man tried to escape and was stopped only after warning shots.

Currently, the materials of the administrative proceedings have been sent to the court, which will choose the type of penalty for the offender.
