The interaction of the servicemen of the Sate Border Guard Service of Ukraine with the border guards of the European countries which border on our state continues to bring positive results and promotes counteraction to criminal activity at the border. Continuous exchange of information allows to react quickly to a situation and take precautionary measures in due time.

Yesterday as a result of information received from the Romanian border guards, they identified two people who escaped deep into Romanian territory and left boxes with cigarettes, border guards of Mukacheve Border Guard Detachment in the area of responsibility of "Dilove" Border Guard Division carried out operative search and revealed at first a path of traces to Romania, and later near the border line detained 2 citizens of Ukraine without documents, perhaps involved in illegal activity. The situation is being investigated at the moment.

Joint search actions were conducted in the area of responsibility of "Krasnoilsk" Border Guard Division of Chernovtsy Border Guard Detachment, which is also bordering on Romania. The border guards of this Border Guard Division detained 4 persons who left boxes with nearly 4 thousand packs of cigarettes 200 meters from the border line and escaped. That was also reported to the Romanian colleagues. Later, in this direction border guards detained the local, perhaps, involved in transportation of smuggled cigarettes. Operational search activities are being conducted at the moment.
