Due to a small batch of cigarettes hidden from control, the truck driver got into a lot of trouble - his truck was seized.

The violator was found at the Dyakove checkpoint in Zakarpattia region on the border with Romania. Based on the analysis and assessment of the risks, the border guards decided to conduct an in-depth inspection of the truck that was carrying the grain. In the structural cavities of the cabin, the border-customs inspection group found hidden 197 packs of cigarettes of various brands, which were seized, as well as the vehicle where they were hidden. At the same time, the value of the MAN truck amounted to more than 400,000 hryvnias, while the tobacco products were valued at only 13,000 hryvnias.

The grain trailer was not confiscated, but in order to take it out of Ukraine, the cargo owner or carrier will most likely have to send another truck.
