During the visit to the Rivne region, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko, among others, inspected the strengthening of defense capabilities and fortifying of the state border.

Together with Colonel Anton Kviatkovskyi, the Head of the 9th Border Detachment, Vitalii Koval, the Head of the Regional Military Administration, and representatives of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, they inspected the border section and its engineering and technical facilities.

It should be noted that the length of the border with Belarus in the Rivne region is more than 218 kilometers, and work on the construction of fortifications and the expansion of the engineering component continues everywhere. Thanks to the joint actions of the border guards, the administration of the region, districts and communities, the state border is being strengthened, and the quality of its technical equipment is increasing. On the border, video surveillance is conducted around the clock, air and ground monitoring is carried out, a system of strong points and firing positions is created, measures of military nature and engineering arrangements are carried out. Along with this, the defenders maintain a high fighting spirit and are ready for sudden actions.

"The northern border and Ukraine are safe. Every day, around the clock, we are protected by the border guards and the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted.

As part of the inspection, urgent issues of the country's defense capability in the north and ways to solve them were discussed.
