Yesterday, border guards of Chernivtsi border guard detachment in cooperation with customs service representatives detained armaments at “Mamalyha” border crossing point, at the border with Moldova.

Citizen of Ukraine tried to leave Ukraine with armaments by “BMW” vehicle of Poland registration. But during inspection of the vehicle border guards draw attention to nervous behavior of the driver. Also, service dog responded to the vehicle. Then border guards detained gun of foreign production (cal. 9) and magazine with 4 cartridge under the seat, hunting knife in the door of the vehicle and handcuffs in the luggage boot.

After drawing up of appropriate documents armaments were confiscated and transmitted to the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Chernivtsi region for further expertize.
