The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine summarizes the amount of cross-border operations in 2021.

We highlight the figures that reflect the top 10 countries whose citizens visited our country last year.

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova hold confident leadership - more than 1.05 million people came to Ukraine in 2021. The second and third places were shared by citizens of Russia and Poland - 518 and 310 thousand people, respectively.

While most countries showed a significant increase in the number of citizens who came to Ukraine, the number of citizens of the Republic of Belarus last year decreased by 41% to 272 thousand and this country took the fourth place in the ranking.

Closing the top five are Romanian citizens - in 2021, 264 thousand people came to us from this country, which is a total of 15% more than in 12 months of 2020.

Next in our ranking are Turkey, Hungary and Germany, with the sixth and eighth positions also showing an increase in number - 1.7 and 2.1 times, respectively.

Israel and the United States ranked ninth and tenth, with 133,000 and 103,000, respectively.

Quite interesting is the fact that over the past year the number of Saudi citizens who came to Ukraine mostly for tourism, has increased 103 times and this is an absolute record growth. In general, the number of foreigners who visited Ukraine last year increased by 26% and amounted to 4.27 million people.
