The Maritime Guard ship “Donbass” and the Maritime Guard boat BG-114 of the Griff project celebrating their birthdays today are based there.

During the working trip to the Donetsk region, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleh Nemchinov visited the base of the ships and boats of the Mariupol Maritime Guard Detachment.

The Maritime Guard ship “Donbass” and the Maritime Guard boat BG-114 of the Griff project celebrating their birthdays today are based there.

On the occasion of the Day of raising the flag, Oleh Nemchinov wished the crews courage and good health during the tasks of border protection, to remain always patriots of their homeland and their cause. The Minister presented the commanders of the ship and the boat with valuable gifts – watches from the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

For professional skill, discipline, loyalty to the oath, success in service and on the occasion of celebrating the Day of the ship from the leadership of the Regional Directorate and the Mariupol Maritime Guard Detachment crews were also awarded thanks and diplomas.

It should be noted that the issue of free transfer of two state moorings, on which the ships and boats of the Mariupol Maritime Guard Detachment are based, to the sphere of management of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is under consideration. Oleh Nemchinov assured that he, for his part, would provide support and assistance to this issue so that its solution would be timely and in the interests of national security.
