It is worth emphasizing that the use of ammunition, the irritant effect of which does not allow servicemen to resist effectively or fire, once again demonstrates that the russian federation does not follow the rules and customs of warfare. In particular, the use of chemical means of fighting riots as a means of warfare is prohibited by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), as well as the Geneva Protocol of 1925 on The Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use in War of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or other Gases, and of Bacteriological Methods of Warfare. The russian occupying forces have repeatedly used K-51 grenades with a highly irritating substance, which is prohibited by the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). However, Ukrainian defenders are ready for such actions of the enemy and know how to counteract with them.
