Yesterday, border guards met the first participants of the international rally "Aleksandrov Rally Karpaty" at "Domanove", "Yagodyn" border crossing points of Lutsk border guard detachment, "Vystupovychi-auto" of Zhytomyr border guard detachment, "Hremiach" of Chernihiv border guard detachment and "Bachivsk" of Sumy border guard detachment.

12 vehicles and 19 citizens of Russia, 3 citizens of Belarus and 2 citizens of Estonia arrived for international motorsport " Aleksandrov Rally Karpaty" competitions, which will be held on 16^th -17^th of August in Chernivtsi and Chernivtsi region.

By the way, this rally for the fifth consecutive time is traditionally dedicated to the memory of the famous Ukrainian sportsman Andrii Aleksandrov, who tragically die on 2^nd of September, 2007 during the European Cup Rally in Bulgaria.

Since last year, the race was granted the status of international competition, because they involve not only the strongest Ukrainian crews, but the best athletes from Russia, Belarus, Estonia and other countries.
