The First Deputy Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has met with the Head of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM)

The meeting between the First Deputy Head of the SBGS Vasyl Servatiuk and the Head of the European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform – Ukraine (EUAM) Kestutis Lancinskas took place in the Administration of State Border Guard Servi

The meeting between the First Deputy Head of the SBGS Vasyl Servatiuk and the Head of the European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform – Ukraine (EUAM) Kestutis Lancinskas took place in the Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on February the 9th.

At the beginning of the meeting the First Deputy Head of the SBGS greeted a foreign delegation, informed them about the main results of the border guard agency reforming and highly evaluated the level of cooperation with the EUAM.

"I want to note that the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues its systemic reform within the framework of general security and defense sector reform in accordance with the strategic documents up to 2020 approved by the Government." emphasized Vasyl Servatiuk.

In his turn, the Head of the EUAM Kestutis Lancinskas confirmed that the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues its systematic reform on its way to the best European standards in the sphere of Integrated Border Management.

 “The State Border Guard Service of Ukraune is the leading law-enforcement agency in strategic planning issues” assured Kestutis Lancinskas.

At the end of the meeting Vasyl Servatiuk expressed his gratitude to Kestutis Lancinskas for the effective cooperation. Besides, Vasyl Servatiuk mentioned that further perspective directions of cooperation with the EUAM will give the opportunity to get new knowledge, professional skills and enhance the border security at the common borders with the EU.
