The enemy continues to shell the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions

Yesterday, August 3, the russian occupying forces shelled the Ukrainian border area with barrel artillery, mortars, and automatic grenade launchers.

The Krasnopillia, Myropil, and Shalygine communities of the Sumy Oblast and the Novgorod-Siversk and Semenivka communities of the Chernihiv Oblast came under enemy fire.

During the day, from the russian settlements of kolotilovka, viazove and gornal, the enemy shelled the territory of the Krasnopillia community, more than 30 hits in total, using 120-mm mortars and 122-mm self-propelled guns in four cases. As a result of the shelling, private houses, farm buildings and civil infrastructure of one of the settlements of the community were damaged.

In two cases, the enemy released more than a dozen 120-mm mines and 122-mm artillery shells on the territory of the Myropil community. The fire was coming from the russian settlements of popovka and gornal.

12 mines of 120 mm caliber, released from the russian village of anatoliivka, exploded on the outskirts of one of the settlements of the Shalygine community.

The barrel artillery of the russian aggressors fired 4 shells on the territory of the Semenivska community.

The Novgorod-Siversk community came under enemy fire from an automatic grenade launcher, 10 explosions. Fortunately, people were not injured.

The Defense Forces continue to protect Ukraine from russian invaders.
