It was possible to do due to the interaction of the border aerial reconnaissance, which recorded and transmitted the coordinates of the “alligator's” flight, and the anti-aircraft missile system, which landed the helicopter with a well-aimed shot.

The russians write in their publications that the crew of the KA-52 "was the most effective crew of the group", and both of the destroyed occupants were "the best of the best" – the two members of the crew of "Beard" had 6 orders of courage together.
