The picturesque border area of Zakarpattia region is especially popular among men aged 18-60, who have recently been dreaming of illegally entering the EU.

As part of the operational and preventive measures "Rubizh – 2022", yesterday, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment prevented 4 attempts to violate the state border, resulting in the detention of 7 citizens of Ukraine who were trying to cross the border in an illegal manner. All detainees belong to the category of persons liable for military service who are restricted from traveling abroad for the period of martial law.

The largest group of five male evaders was detained by border guards of the Yablunivka Division. The oldest of the "travelers" is 37 years old, the youngest is 26. Two of the detainees are residents of the villages of Iza and Mastrytsia, the rest came to the border from different regions of Ukraine: one from Makiivka, Donetsk region, another one from Dergachi, Kharkiv region, and another one – from the village of Velyky Kunynets in Ternopil region.

Also, one evader from Luhansk region was stopped near the border by servicemen of the Velykyi Bychkiv Section and the servicemen of the Luzhanka Border Guard Division prevented an attempt to cross the border illegally by a resident of the village of Rozliuty in Chernihiv region.

Reports of administrative offenses were drawn up against all detainees, the cases were sent to court.
