The border guard family consists of thousands of men and women. All of them did not hesitate to defend the country to protect it from the russian invasion and at the same time continue to ensure the security of our state border.

I am sincerely grateful to my comrades in arms. Your contribution to the struggle for freedom of the Ukrainian people is invaluable! All of you are a powerful component of the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine.

For more than a decade, border guards have been countering russian aggression with arms, two of which were during a large-scale invasion. They were the first to meet the enemy at the border, bravely defending Ukraine. Border guards are always in the hottest spots of the front line alongside all Ukrainian soldiers and those who have stood up to defend the state. They take part in the most difficult operations of our country's Defense Forces.

Since 2014, 18 border guards have been awarded the highest degree of honor in Ukraine – the title of "Hero of Ukraine", 12 of them, unfortunately, posthumously. More than 3,200 have received state awards.

We remember each and every one of those who gave their lives for Ukraine and freedom. All those who died so that we could continue the struggle for independence. We bow our heads in memory of them...

We remember those who are in russian captivity and will do everything we can to bring them back. 356 border guards have already been released.

Ukrainians, like no one else, understand that the security of the state begins with the security of its borders.

The State Border Guard Service is constantly increasing its capabilities to respond to actual and potential threats with its own available forces. Brigade-type border guard detachments are being formed, more and more artillery and armored vehicles, new samples of weapons are being supplied to our soldiers, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles is developing.

We will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that our defenders have all the necessary means to defeat the enemy and save their lives. Our main value is People!

Ukraine will definitely win this war of good against evil and regain control of its state border within its internationally recognized borders. We are defending our country, working for our country! We are united to liberate Ukraine from the enemy! At the same time, we stand in defense of democratic values, which have always been a priority for us!

The border guards of Ukraine, together with other components of the Defense Forces of our country and the entire Ukrainian people, will not stop fighting for the Motherland! And I am infinitely grateful to everyone who supports us in this!
