Yesterday at BCP “Reni” border guards of Ismail border detachment, together with the representatives of customs, revealed 7 violins that may be of a historical and cultural value.

The border guards initiated the examination of the “Volkswagen” car, which was moving from Odessa, immediately after the arrival at the BCP, as the passenger of the car was too excited.

According to the results of the checking, in the car luggage space among the passenger’s personal possessions, 7 violins some of which had no strings were found.

The owner of the articles, who proved to be the passenger of a foreign car, was the resident of the USA.

Currently the musical instruments are confiscated up to the court decision. The cost and the cultural value of the articles will be ascertained after making the appropriate examination.
