The case concerning two residents of Transcarpathia was transferred to the Berehiv District Court the other day.

They were detained at the end of February this year for an attempt to illegally transport a citizen of Ukraine of military age across the border. We will remind that the offenders were stopped near the Astei settlement of the Berehiv District by operatives of the Chop border guard detachment in cooperation with the National Police and under the procedural guidance of the Uzhhorod District Prosecutor's Office. At the time of the arrest, the transporters had already received a monetary reward of $3,000 from the "client". For this amount, they transported the man to the outskirts of the village, from where he was supposed to move to the border with Hungary along the indicated route.

The actions of Transcarpathians have signs of criminal proceedings. For this, they face imprisonment for a period of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.
