Defense forces of Ukraine, including units of the State Border Guard Service, are fighting russian invaders for every meter of Ukrainian land in the fortress city of Bakhmut.

Border guard units engaged in positional battles with russian occupation forces three times. Our defenders repelled one attack in the morning, and two more breakthrough attempts were stopped in the evening.

The enemy's infantry groups were moving literally across scorched earth to make the assault. The enemy's massive artillery strikes destroyed all the urban buildings that stand in the way of the occupiers.

Despite the constant shelling, Ukrainian defenders are strengthening their fortifications and meeting the russian invaders with small arms fire and grenade launchers of various systems. The SBGSU soldiers neutralized the attack aircraft in shooting engagements. Having failed, the invaders retreated. Enemy losses are being investigated.
