At the National Academy of State Border Guard Service named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi an educational and methodological meeting of the academy staff was held, which summed up the activities of the academy and defined perspectives for the year.

In particular, in 2021, more than 460 servicemen were trained, including 120 students with a master's degree in higher education, more than 300 cadets with a bachelor's degree and 25 servicemen according to the state order.

7 doctoral research papers were done by scientists of the academy, and 13 PhD degrees were got by the academy instructors.

The practice of conducting classes on the basis of border guard detachments and practical training of every year of studying during the month, optional study of English for cadets of 2021 and introduced training for two new educational and professional programs to organize the activities of canine and engineering units in the specialty "State Border Protection" taking into account the trends of military education transformation in Ukraine.

Introduction of leadership courses that meet the requirements of NATO standards Bi-SCD 075-007 "Education and Training" into the officer training system is continuing.

Last year, two international and two all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences were organized and successfully held at the academy, in total the National Academy co-organized 8 conferences, and the staff of the border university took an active part in more than 40 conferences of various levels.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of quality manning of scientific and pedagogical staff of the Academy, appointments for which are carried out exclusively on a competitive basis with the Statute of the National Academy for the term of election.

The academy started up 11 classrooms, got barracks ready for cadets in 2021, improved the grounds of sports facilities, improved nutrition quality and increased the range of dishes, and carried out work on the arrangement of more than 11 kilometers of the state border sector at the territory of the field training center.

Among this year perspectives were the admission campaign, further implementation of NATO standards in the educational process, further implementation of scientific results in the activities of border guard units, implementation of a new system of work with personnel, as well as improving living conditions and training of the future border guards.
