In the Novotroiitske “Entry-Exit” Check Point, border guards stopped an attempt to provide illegal funds by a foreigner.

A citizen of Ukraine with her minor child and a friend of the family - a citizen of Azerbaijan, went on a on departure to TOTU. During the border procedures, it became clear that the child's mother did not have permits, namely a notarized power of attorney from the child's father.

In order to settle the “situation” and help his girlfriend, the Azerbaijani citizen offered the border guard a bribe of 800 hryvnias. The border guard refused the illegal offer, the funds and the person were handed over to the National Police. A citizen of Ukraine with her minor child were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

We remind you that an offer, promise or illegal benefit to an official is punishable by a fine of five hundred to seven hundred and fifty non-taxable minimum incomes, or restriction of liberty for a term of two to four years, or imprisonment for the same term.
