During this week in the framework of Component B, Activity B5 “Analysis and assessment of the SBGSU capacity on detection and examination of forged documents, development of exchange of information and international cooperation agreements on exchange of information in the sphere of expert examination of documents” was conducted between the experts of the Twinning Project and  representatives of the Border Control Unit as well as representatives from the Main Forensic Centre of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The European experts got familiarised with the activities of the Main Forensic Centre, which is considered to be a State specialised authority for forensic examination, they discussed questions concerning information exchange on forged documents, creation and use of the travel document samples database and information exchange methods.

Moreover, a detailed analysis of the training system for specialists on the 1^st and 2^nd line control, which is based on the system of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service “B. Khmelnitskiy” and the Training Centre of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine “I. Momot”, was carried out.

The analysis’ results will be reflected in a new Concept for the development of the 3-level document control system of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
