Between 4.45 a.m. and 5.15 a.m., July 3, terrorists carried out mortar and grenade attack at BCP "Dovzhanskyi" on the border with Russia, Luhansk region. Nine border guards are injured. At the end of the attack, the gunmen made several shots in the direction of the Russian BCP "Novoshakhtinsk."

Thus, mercenaries are trying to discredit the Ukrainian military and renew control over the lost object and relevant border sector.

Please be reminded that on July 1, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine have resumed control over the BCP "Dovzhansky". In the course of that military operation, the armored personnel carrier was blown-up and six border guards were wounded. In general, Ukrainian Armed Forces sappers deactivated 15 explosive devices at the entrance to the BCP and more than 20 - directly at the BCP. Some explosive devices were interconnected and connected to the vehicles at the checkpoint. In the case of using these vehicles, the dangerous traps had to hit Ukrainian law enforcement.
