The border guards were the first to fight against a mad enemy, who, having lost his mind, came to our land with weapons in his hands to kill Ukrainians.

The state border guards from all over Ukraine quickly united into consolidated border guard units to repel the aggressor and restore peace to the territories occupied by the enemy.

In their daily exhausting work, border guards require not only rest, but also recognition of their achievements, for which they do not hesitate to risk their own health and sacrifice valuable time away from home, family, and loved ones.

As a sign of respect for tireless service and desperate struggle for the Victory of Ukraine in this brutal war, the leadership of the State Border Service presented the defenders with state awards.

According to the decrees of the President of Ukraine, three border guards were awarded the Order of Courage. In addition, the Deputy Head of the State Border Guard Service, Serhii Serdiuk, awarded defenders with 13 medals, including Medal For Military Service to Ukraine, Defender of the Motherland Medal, Medal For Irreproachable Service, Medal “For Saving Life”, and the honorary title “Honored Doctor of Ukraine”.

“Our common task is to defeat the enemy, return to the internationally recognized state border of Ukraine, and ensure peace in our homes,” emphasized Serhii Serdiuk in his address to those present.
