Recently at the Kharkiv Regional Blood Service Centre, law enforcement officers became donors for people in need of transfusions. Fighters of the special purpose unit of the State Border Guard Service and the company of the special police patrol service “SKHID” joined to the donor movement.

Donor assistance was provided in support of the charity organization “One Blood”, the main task of which is to provide timely assistance to patients in any operation, the military in hospitals, road accident victims etc. Any healthy person can be a donor. He or she must follow a healthy lifestyle - no smoking, no drinking alcohol, eating right.

Alina Potapenko, the Head of the Blood Procurement Department, thanked to the law enforcement officers who found the time to join the noble cause of donation for the recovery of sick people.

“We are infinitely grateful to our law enforcement officers, who expressed a desire to become donors and help cancer patients and children. Especially now, before the New Year and Christmas holidays, because the number of people willing to donate blood has significantly decreased,” said Alina Potapenko.

Note that servicemen of the State Border Guard Service regularly participate in free blood donation in all parts of Ukraine and further support the donor movement. The blood bank is human lives.
