Recently, special purpose and rapid response units of the State Border Guard Service took part in the speed climbing competition on the Hoverla "IRON UNIFIER".

The border agency was represented at this event by soldiers of the 10th mobile border guard detachment ("DOZOR") and the border guard rapid response post "SHKVAL". In total, 8 border guards took part in the competition.

The participants of the event had to cover a distance of 12 kilometers with a load in the form of a backpack weighing at least 12 kilograms and climb to the top of Hoverla. Overcoming the mountain distance, the special forces demonstrated not only their strength and endurance, but also cohesion, support and unity, which helped the fighters reach the goal. Out of 150 participants of the competition, the border guards took 12,13,14,23,24,25,27,28 places.

It should be noted that the event was organized in Bukovel with the support of the UNIFIER military training mission. In addition to border guards, representatives of the Armed Forces of Canada, the National Guard of Ukraine and the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Edelweiss" took part in it.
