Counteracting the illegal movement of goods in the first half of 2021 demonstrates a significant increase in the estimated monetary amounts.

Thus, since the beginning of this year, border guards have identified goods illegally moved across the border in the amount of UAH 465.3 million. This figure is 40% higher than it was during the same period last year (UAH 333.3 million). Even more telling is the fact that the total number of attempts to smuggle goods has decreased by 23%.

In addition, since the beginning of 2021, border guards have found 35 stolen vehicles and 141 cars - with forged, faulty documents, as well as with the vehicle identification numbers which do not match the entries in the registration documents.
