In the Chernivtsi region, border guards stopped another to smuggle cigarettes across the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

That night, during the realization of anticipatory information of the Chernivtsi border guard detachment operatives, the border patrol of the "Seliatyn" border guard division discovered a group of unknown persons with packages. With the appearance of military personnel, the offenders abandoned their burdens and ran away to avoid responsibility.

After inspection of the area adjacent to the border, the servicemen discovered 4,750 packs of cigarettes without Ukrainian excise tax stamps. According to a preliminary estimate, the value of seized tobacco is about 200 thousand hrn.

After processing the relevant documents, the cigarettes were handed over to the employees of the National Police.
