The operatives of Chop Border Guard Detachment caught another smuggler red-handed in Transcarpathian region.

The offender was a local resident. He was detained immediately upon receiving the advance payment of the monetary reward in the amount of 3,500 USD to illegally transport a man liable for military service across the border. In total, the “client” should have paid 7,000 USD. The rest of the money was to be paid immediately after crossing the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.

The operation was held in cooperation with the operatives of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment, employees of the Migration Police of the Main Directorate of the NP in the Transcarpathian region, under the procedural guidance of the Transcarpathian Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Military and Defense Sphere.

The offender was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The funds were confiscated in accordance with the established procedure.
