Recently, border guards of the Lutsk Detachment together with customs officials completed an inspection of a truck in which a significant amount of goods was being smuggled across the border.

Recently, border guards of the Lutsk Detachment together with customs officials completed an inspection of a truck in which a significant amount of goods was being smuggled across the border.

A truck with a humanitarian aid cargo arrived at the Yahodyn border crossing point from Poland in February. At that time, the border guards initiated an in-depth inspection of the truck and an inspection of the goods on the basis of a risk assessment. As a result, border and customs inspection team detected a significant amount of cosmetics, household chemicals and food products among the humanitarian cargo.

The detected goods were confiscated in accordance with the established procedure by representatives of the State Customs Service of Ukraine and were estimated at over 2.3 million hryvnias.
