At the Ukrainian-Romanian border, border guards of Chernivtsi border guard detachment together with the Customs and the SSU representatives, prevented an attempt to illegally transport a large batch of tobacco products across the border.

A truck arrived at the Porubne border crossing point for departure from Ukraine. According to the accompanying documents, one of the commercial firms was transporting a batch of vegetable oil to Great Britain.

Subsequently, according to the results of scanning, specially equipped caches with foreign-made tobacco products without Ukrainian excise tax stamps were discovered in the tank.

At this moment the inspection of the truck and measures to document the illegal movement of cigarettes across the state border are ongoing.
