The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues actions to renew the protection and defense of the state border areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

On 25^th of June from 4 to 6 a.m. there was military clash and shelling of block posts and defensive posts of securing state frontiers in the area Biriukove and Liakove settlements (Luhansk region). Border guards were fired with mortars and small arms. Border guards did not suffer losses.

Border guards continue to note the presence of illegal armed formations of unknown persons, as well as movement of military equipment and units of Military Forces of Russian Federation near the state border.

Despite the fact that the Government of Ukraine temporarily closed “Izvaryne” international automobile border crossing point (Luhansk region), terrorists with the assistance of the Russian side transit people across the border. In this regard, the current border control is duplicated by block posts of Armed Forces of Ukraine and State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, which are located some kilometers off border crossing point and carry out its fire control.

Furthermore, patrol aircraft of Border Guard Service of Ukraine held lighting of surface situation in the exclusive (maritime) economic zone of Ukraine and examined 5670 km². In addition, situation on the frontier within Sumy and Chernihiv regions was monitored. Violations of sailing and border regimes in these areas haven’t been identified.
