This time, the Rapid Reaction Border Command will train within the JMTG-U (Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine).

Joint exercises of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 58th Separate Mechanized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began at the International Centre for Peacekeeping and Security of Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy.

Participation in these exercises is another step in the systematic work of the Personnel Department of the State Border Guard Service Administration to build capacity in personnel training. In addition to the personnel of the SHKVAL RRBC, officers of the Regional Border Guard Directorates, border guard detachments, as well as instructors from the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are involved in NATO-standard exercises.

Until 26 December, the participants will undergo a complex training course according to NATO standards, starting with individual training and up to comprehensive battalion and brigade-level training.

Yesterday (11 November) a briefing was held to announce and deliver the combat orders. SBGS representatives are studying the structure and requirements of NATO guidance documents on the preparation, planning and deployment of units, understanding their mission, learning how to calculate time and plan actions together with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Joint training missions make it possible to train the components of the security and defence forces according to a common vision and plan for the implementation of national security tasks.

Carrying out such exercises allows the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to acquire certain capabilities together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in the future to organize high-quality cooperation and be compatible in the course of joint and special operations.

It should be noted that the Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine is one of the elements of practical assistance to Ukraine from partner countries that are members of the North Atlantic Alliance. The group's activities include training Ukrainian security and defence forces in accordance with NATO standards and principles.
