Serhii Deineko was on a business trip in the east of the country in the units of the State Border Guard Service, which carry out combat missions in Avdiivka, Bakhmut and Lyman directions.

Being on a business trip, Serhii Deineko together with the head of the Eastern Regional Directorate and commanders of border guard units, reviewed further actions of the border guards in all directions, as well as improving their effectiveness in counteracting the enemy.
The situation in the areas held by units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine was discussed in detail, as well as how exactly and with what forces the enemy is operating.
The military personnel noted that the enemy is trying to carry out assault actions in every possible way, including technical equipment. The enemy is carrying out mass shelling of positions, but the Ukrainian defenders are giving a decent response.
"The situation at the front and, without exaggeration, the further fate of our state depends on your stability and courage. The border service has become much stronger today. During the war, we practically went from a fighter with a machine gun to the latest models of weapons, artillery, rocket artillery. We will continue to do everything possible to provide our border guards with all necessary equipment in order they have all the opportunities to confront the enemy," the Head of the State Border Guard Service noted.
While in the areas where hostilities are taking place, Serhii Deineko visited the positions of units of Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, Mohyliv-Podilskii and Zhytomyr border guard detachments. In each of the units, the state of support, the most important needs for increasing defense capabilities and effective performance of tasks were discussed in detail. Particular attention was paid to interaction with all components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Serhii Deineko thanked the border guards for their professionalism.
"On behalf of myself personally, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the President of Ukraine, I want to thank you for your heroism, for the fact that today you are performing the most important task here - defending our land, restraining the russian aggressor. The courage of the border guards is visible to the entire Ukrainian society now, and it is thanks to you and all the border guard units fighting on the front lines," the head of the service said.
He noted that Ukraine would definitely win, and also honored the servicemen with state awards and awards of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
