The Head of the State Border Guard Service visited the positions of border guards who are defending the country in the Bakhmut and Lyman directions.

He personally verified the needs of the border guards on the front line, the way they are provided with technical means, weapons and equipment, and checked the fortification of the positions and the reliability of shelters.

Serhii Deineko talked to the heads of the units and soldiers, who told him about the situation in their areas, as well as about the actions of the enemy, who daily shells our positions and tries to attack with assault groups. The border guards have noted that together with other Ukrainian defense forces, they are taking all necessary actions to destroy the occupiers, including the effective use of mortar crews and other means of destruction and adjusting artillery fire from drones. The soldiers recognize that they clearly realize the tasks they are facing, and understand where and how the enemy is trying to advance.

"Thanks to your courage, today a border guard is an example of honor, dignity, and readiness for self-sacrifice! I am very grateful to you for the fact that border guards are really respected by the entire Ukrainian people," the Head of the SBGS said.

Serhii Deineko also emphasized the importance of work that is being done to increase the supply of border guard units with additional modern means that will allow them to destroy the enemy even more effectively. According to him, such work is carried out constantly, in particular in cooperation with foreign partners.

Together with the Head of the State Border Guard Service, the Head of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, Tetiana Sliuz, came to support the border guards on the front line. She talked to the defenders, inquired about their needs and expressed her sincere gratitude for the defense of the country. The border guards thanked the head of the Treasury for her attention and for the sweets, other delicacies and varied literature that Tetiana Sliuz brought to the border guards.

While visiting the units, the Head of the State Border Guard Service also thanked the border guards for defending the independence of our country and conveyed words of gratitude from the leadership of the state and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and presented the servicemen with state awards and departmental insignia.

"Take care of yourselves; take care of your brothers and sisters-in-arms, because we have a lot to do. We need to reach the internationally recognized border, take it under protection and defense. And we must always be ready to give a powerful rebuff to the enemy, so that they will never have the desire to attack us, our country and our wonderful people," Serhii Deineko said.
