The Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine visited the positions of border guards in the Liman direction and personally got acquainted with the state of their tasks as part of the Defense Forces.

Serhii Deineko listened to the commanding officers of border guard units on the ground and discussed in detail the issues of provision, in particular with weapons, transport and other necessary technical means that allow to effectively counteract the occupiers and at the same time save the lives of Ukrainian defenders.

He noted the coherence of actions with units of other components of defense, which allows to effectively defend the country.

"Servicemen of the State Border Guard Service are real defenders who courageously resist the enemy, despite the superior forces of the enemy. I am grateful to every border guard who honorably performs the task of protecting Ukraine, defending its territorial integrity and freedom," said Serhii Deineko.

The head of the agency drew special attention to the need for further strengthening of defensive positions so that the personnel had proper places to hide from constant shelling and repel enemy attacks. After all, our greatest value is people, so everything necessary must be done to preserve their lives and health.

Serhii Deineko also discussed the issue of involvement of border units with the heads of government bodies to develop further strengthening of defense capabilities in important areas.

While visiting the units on the front line, the Head of the Service thanked the border guards for their courage and steadfastness and presented the border guards with state awards and insignia of the Service.

"You are doing the most for our Ukraine now – you are protecting it here, where the enemy is trying to break through our defenses every day, and thanks to you, the occupiers will not be able to capture our country," the Head of the State Border Guard Service stressed.
