Serhii Deineko met with soldiers of the Chop border guard detachment who heroically defended the country.

«With your heroism, courage, bravery and selflessness, you are proving to the whole country that you are worthy descendants of the Carpathian Sich heroes who fought for our freedom and independence many years ago. Undoubtedly, you are inscribed in the history of the Chop border guard detachment. And you have written the most glorious pages in the history of the border guard detachment and the whole of Transcarpathia. This will be remembered by future generations. Ukrainians are proud of their border guards because of people like you», - said the head of the border guard agency.

Units of the Chop border guard detachment courageously performed combat missions in the Bakhmut direction. Together with other Ukrainian defenders, border guards steadfastly held their positions and participated in assault operations to liberate Ukrainian territories.

Serhii Deineko presented firearms, NSDC and State Border Guard Service awards to the best soldiers who showed courage and heroism in battles with the enemy.

«Dear colleagues, as long as there are heroes who defend the peaceful future of our children from the russian evil empire, our state will exist. These are the people I see in front of me now. Thank you for risking your lives every day, liberating and defending every piece of our land. They stood in defense of the most precious things for our people to live. Thank you for your courage, heroism and selflessness. Today, many of you have received awards, but this is only the beginning, because everyone's contribution is invaluable and will be recognized by both the border guard agency and the State», - the Head of the SBGS addressed the soldiers.

All those present also observed a minute of silence in memory of the Ukrainian Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine.

The brave defenders were wished a quick recovery, a boost from their families and friends who have been waiting for them for a long time, and a quick recovery for their wounded battle bodies.

We will definitely win.
