The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to implement the world's best practices of integrated border management. One of the promising areas in Ukraine is the creation of an automated system for analyzing preliminary information about passengers.

The introduction of the automated ATS GLOBAL system was considered on January 28 in the State Border Guard Service Administration during negotiations with partners from the United States. In addition to the leadership and officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, representatives of other interacting central authorities joined the event.

The head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine noted that the introduction of such a system in Ukraine will significantly increase the effectiveness of preventing and combating transnational crime and threats to national security in the border area.

“We appreciate the support of our American partners and are sincerely grateful for the openness and willingness to work together in this area. I am confident that our joint work will bring positive results for the security of our states,” said the head of the border agency.

He expressed special gratitude to the American partners from the Customs and Border Protection agency and the Embassy of the United States of America. The result of this joint work should be an Agreement on cooperation in the use of passenger information.

It should be noted that the work on creating a system of analysis of preliminary information about passengers in the State Border Guard Service is carried out in accordance with the Strategy of Integrated Border Management until 2025, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Action Plan.

The Border Guard Service of Ukraine has a clear vision of further steps in its development and remains a reliable partner to the world's leading countries in the realization of the project to implement in Ukraine the best international practices of integrated border management.
