The Head of the State Border Guard Service emphasized this during the opening of the renewed unit on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.

In particular, the updated border guard inspectors’ section «Udobne» of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsk border guard detachment was opened in Odesa Oblast.

The head of the border department congratulated the staff of the unit on the opening of the reconstructed section of border service inspectors and thanked all those who participated in its reconstruction.

"Thanks to the government, the support of regional and local authorities, we were able to contribute to the development of our country. The updated border guard inspectors’ section «Udobne», built according to international norms and standards, is a clear example of this fact. We do not stop there and move on. After all, the arrangement of the state border is a way to build a modern border agency, quality service and effective protection of the country, "said in his speech the Head of the State Border Guard Service, Major General Serhii Deineko.

The event was attended by the Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Serhii Hrynevetskyi, the Head of the Odesa Regional Council Hryhorii Didenko, the Head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine Slavomir Pikhor, the Head of the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Service Serhii Mul and heads of interacting law enforcement agencies and representatives of local authorities. They also congratulated the border guards on the opening of section.

Currently, the renovated section is a well-equipped, multifunctional unit with the comfortable conditions, infrastructure and technical support. Geographically, the section is located at the crossroads of international corridors connecting Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova and EU countries. Reconstruction of the border guard inspectors’ section «Udobne» began two years ago. During this time, office premises including administrative facilities and facilities for training personnel and border patrols, service area, boxes for storage and maintenance of vehicles were reconstructed, canine area with open-air cages for service dogs, a sports ground and cellarage were built up.

The total amount of funds used to equip the border unit amounted to about UAH 3.6 million.
