During this year's first planning conference of the Sea Breeze 2021 multinational military training, discussions were mostly held in a distant format.

According to the Deputy Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain 1st Rank Oleksii Doskato, the purpose of the conference is to find out the potential participants of Sea Breeze training, agree on the relevant training scenario, identify possible areas of application of units and develop logistics.

During the conference, representatives of the participating countries discussed possible and necessary scenarios for the training components. Preliminary calculations were made and directions of interaction were agreed. After all, usually the legend of the trainings - the most realistic and relevant, meets the challenges and requirements of the modern world.

From the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the ship-boat composition, aviation, diving and anti-sabotage specialization units are to join the training, and this year the ground component is also planned to be tested.

Sea Breeze training have been held on the territory of Ukraine since 1997 in accordance with the Memorandum of Public Relations and Cooperation in the Field of Defense and Military Relations between the US Department of Defense and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine from 1993. Ukraine and the United States are co-organizers of the trainings.
