The event was attended by border guards of bodies and divisions of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, scientists, educators and students of higher educational establishments of the city.

On the occasion of the upcoming Day of Defenders of Ukraine, scientists of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, together with the Southern Regional Directorate and the Regional Directorate of Maritime Guard, initiated the Scientific and Educational Forum "Border of Courage and Heroism". The purpose of this forum is to preserve the national memory of the soldiers who died in the struggle for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and the formation of the historical memory of the Ukrainian people about the heroism of border guards: men and women, in armed resistance to the russian aggressor. The event was attended by border guards of bodies and divisions of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, scientists, educators and students of higher educational establishments of the city. As the event is focused on the national and patriotic upbringing of the youth, there were also students of city schools and lyceums among the guests.

The International Humanitarian University and the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs also became the venues of the Forum. During the event, there was a presentation of the book series "The Road to Victory", the art book "The Border of Invincibility: War Through the Lens" and the magazine "Science at War", prepared by the scientific and pedagogical staff of the National academy of the State border guard service of Ukraine. The audience emotionally welcomed the performances of the Border Heroes, who directly participated in the defense of the state border and shared their thoughts and memories with the guests. At the end of the event, representatives of the National Academy presented copies of the represented editions to military personnel and other participants of the forum.
