The Border guards of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment exposed two fraudsters in Transcarpathian region. A father and a son tried to organize illegal crossing of the Ukrainian-Hungarian border for the latter.

In order to put the plan into practice, the men came from Zaporizhzhia to Luzhanka border crossing point. As the 46-year-old father had legal grounds to cross the border, he passed through border checks and procedures to receive all the necessary stamps in his documents and on a special control pass. He was supposed to hand the special control pass over to his son so that the latter could avoid border checks.

To carry out the plan, the men previously agreed to separate from each other once they had arrived at the border crossing point. Then they were supposed to meet at the restroom as soon as the father had passed through passport control.

Vigilant border guards did not suit the fraudsters’ plans; however, they were the ones who ruined their intentions.

As a result, a protocol on administrative offense was drawn up against 20-year-old smart guy and the 46-year-old organizer will be hold accountable under criminal law for smuggling people across the border.
