Using the information of the State Border Guard Service operatives about possible illegal movement of goods across the border, border guards of the Lutsk Border Guard Detachment carried out a second line check of a Volvo truck traveling to Ukraine at the Yahodyn Border Crossing Point. According to the shipping documents, “drain pipes” and “gas discharge lamps” were transported in the vehicle.

According to the results of the joint border guards and customs inspection of the cargo, a discrepancy was found between name and marking of the goods, as well as discrepancies in the value of the goods.

Currently, in accordance with the established procedure the staff of the State Customs Service confiscated the goods valued 730 thousand UAH.
