Soldiers of the Volyn Borderguard Detachment together with customs officers prevented an attempt to import illicit goods made in Russia into Ukraine.

These days a truck driven by our compatriot with an automobile spare parts cargo arrived at the Domanove border crossing point. The goods followed from Belarus to one of the enterprises.

Concidering potential risks of illegal movement of goods, the operatives of the borderguard detachment initiated a thorough inspection. Subsequently, during the borderguard and customs clearance of goods and verification of accompanying documents, law enforcement officers found no information about the manufacturer. The spare parts said that they were manufactured in Russia by private joint stock company KAMAZ.

It should be noted that this company is in the list of legal entities, which, according to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, are subject to sanctions banning the import or transit of goods to Ukraine.

In this regard, the truck, which transported to Ukraine more than 800 spare parts of Russian production, costing almost 400 thousand hryvnias, was returned to Belarus by law enforcement officers.
