Yesterday Russian mercenaries twice engaged fire on the positions with Ukrainian border guards serving. The militants used small arms and AGL.

Initially, at 19.25, illegal armed groups made fire upon the control post «Mayorsk», in the direction of  «Zaitsevo» crossing point. They were holding periodic heavy fire from small arms of  5.45 mm and 7.62 mm caliber in the direction of Gorlivka town. The border guards brought in all necessary measures to prevent civilian casualties. Passing of individuals and vehicles was not carried out at the crossing point while shelling.

In addition, at 22.45, terrorists opened fire upon the control post «Mar’yinka» with small arms of 7.62 mm caliber and the AGL-17. The fire was launched from the side of Oleksandrivka town, controlled by the militants.

None of the border guards was injured.
