Two journalists of "NTV" channel filming the Ukrainian border sector and its engineering equipment without permission were detected in the Donetsk region. In one case, after "NTV" correspondents were provided with clarification on the rules of stay in the border area and the need for coordination of work near the border, they had incited local residents to block the border patrols for preventing from being inspected by border guards. At once after these provocations Russian television broadcasted materials on Ukrainian border guards who allegedly tried to spirit the "NTV" cameraman away menacing with weapons and disturbed supposedly legitimate work of journalists.

In recent years, Russian mass-medias complain that their representatives often cannot freely get into Ukraine. However, they forget to specify the reasons which make this happening. In fact, some Russian journalists cannot provide information about the purpose and place of residence on the territory of Ukraine, while others do not have enough financial support. There are those who received instructions from their superiors to deliberately provide untruthful information on the purpose of their trip.

It should be noted that the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine carries out its tasks under the legislation in place and does not unreasonably refuse citizens for crossing the state border. In the case of violations detected, border guards take appropriate decisions on border crossing refusal of foreigners or stateless persons without marking their political affiliations or occupations.

In turn, some representatives of Russian media who enter the territory of Ukraine often behave aggressively, do not fulfill the requirements of Ukrainian legislation and distortedly cover the events in Ukraine.
