"RUBIZH-2022": Border guards detained 13 men trying illegally to cross the state border

Over the weekend, in the framework of operational and preventive measures "RUBIZH-2022", border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment brought to justice 13 citizens of Ukraine for attempting to cross illegally the state border of Ukraine.

In Particular, border guards of the Border Guard Division "Porubne" detained 4 offenders who were trying to get to Romania outside the BCP. During the detention, the border guards had to make warning shots to stop one of the men who tried to escape. The detainees were residents of Chernivtsi region, persons liable for call-up, who are currently restricted from leaving Ukraine. Border guards drew up a report against the fugitive for malicious disobedience.

At the same time, over the weekend, officials of the "Kel’mentsi", "Hertsa" and "Mamalyha" divisions prevented 7 cases of illegal border crossing and detained another 9 people of call-up age who were illegally trying to get to Moldova and Romania. The men, residents of Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, could not confirm the purpose of their arrival to the border, and later confessed about their intentions to cross illegally the border.

All detainees were brought to justice. In addition, a report of detecting signs of a criminal offense was sent to the National Police.
