Recently, border guards almost daily fix a gradual increase of the stream of refugees at the western state border.

During last weekend, border guards of Mostyska border guard detachment allowed 23 citizens of Ukraine, who asked the status of refugees in Poland to cross Ukrainian-Polish border at “Shehyni” border crossing point. There were 3 families with children among them, residents of Kramatorsk, Luhansk, Donetsk and Antratsyt. As parents said, the reason of leaving Ukraine was lack of appropriate conditions and security in that region due to growing armed actions. In addition, some people informed about threats of retaliation and persecution from pro-Russian citizens.

It should be noted that due to the situation in Ukraine, Poland has hosted 299 people. There were 292 citizens of Ukraine, 1 citizen of Egypt and 6 citizens of Russia among them.
