Residents of Crimea continue going abroad because of fear of persecution

During the last day, three Crimean families went to Poland with a view to gain the refugee status.

During the last day, three Crimean families went to Poland with a view to gain the refugee status. 12 citizens of Ukraine, including 6 children, and one foreigner crossed Ukrainian-Polish border at "Shehyni" border crossing point, Lviv region. They stated they want to gain refugee status in Poland. Parents told border guards of Mostyska border guard detachment that because of threats of retaliation and persecution by pro-Russian citizens they were forced to leave their homes and seek for asylum in neighboring country. Most travelers were residents of Simferopol. Also, the father, citizen of Egypt, who permanently lives in Ukraine, followed with his family - his wife and four children.

After solving the formalities with Polish colleagues, border guards provided their registration and pass people, who seek for asylum.
