Currently, the Maritime Guard ship of the State Border Guard Service “Hryhorii Kuropiatnykov” and the US CGS HAMILTON remain at the sea, continuing joint exercises.

At a distance of more than 100 nautical miles from Odessa, in the exclusive (maritime) economic zone of Ukraine, at the rendezvous point (sailors call the meeting place on the open sea), the flagship of the State Border Guard Service met the US Coast Guard ship HAMILTON.

The American partners arrived in Ukraine on a friendly visit, which will include joint manoeuvres at sea, training in the exchange of experience in reconnaissance and assault operations, and a business meeting of representatives of maritime border guards and security of navigation of the two countries.

According to the plan of joint exercises, the ships of the border guard agencies of the USA and Ukraine worked out the coordination of actions in the international tactical group en route. Elements of joint manoeuvring with increasing complexity, including the repulse of an air attack, almost did not have to be imitated.

According to the established tradition, the actions of the partners were closely monitored and accompanied by the presence of Russian ships. This time, two Okhotnik type border patrol ships of the CG of FSS BS of RF went on a "hunt".

The ships of the aggressor country sometimes announced the fictitious coordinates of the closed areas, demanding to leave them, then maneuvered dangerously and tried to artificially narrow the manoeuvre zone for Ukrainian and American ships. International maritime security channels did not respond to calls. The blatant violation of international maritime law has been carefully documented by Ukrainian border guards.

Neither the four-point storm nor the brazen antics of the Okhotniks under the tricolour prevented the partners from working out the program of manoeuvres.
